Jennifer is a founding parent of both Brookewood and the Avalon School. She is a native of the Washington area and a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development. Seeing a need for sports at Brookewood, she started a field hockey program in the fall of 2007. The sports program has developed to fielding nine sports: field hockey, soccer, volleyball, cross country, equestrian, basketball, swimming, lacrosse and softball. Jennifer and her husband Kevin, the head of school at the Avalon School, live in Silver Spring, Maryland and have six children, all graduates of Avalon or Brookewood.
