International Student Program

Brookewood School is pleased to welcome international students to live and study in the Washington, D.C. metro area.

Students from Italy, China, Spain, Vietnam, Poland, and Ivory Coast have called Brookewood their academic home. Brookewood School is happy to locate suitable school families to host international students. This family will provide living quarters, meals and a family away from home for the visiting student.


Brookewood  School is authorized under Federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students.

The Application Process

In order to apply to Brookewood School, students should email our international student coordinator after filling out the application documents. The process will go as follows: 

Complete the application form and submit the required application fee.

International applicants must submit their most-recent academic transcript, translated into English.

International applicants must submit one (1)  Teacher Recommendation Form from their English Teacher, translated into English.

Once all application documents are received, all international applicants are required to participate in a Zoom interview with the International Student Coordinator. The interview is a mandatory step in the admission process.

Once all application materials have been reviewed, international applicants and their family will receive an admission decision letter via email.

If the student is accepted, the family will receive a Tuition Enrollment Agreement from the Business Office. When the family returns the signed Tuition Enrollment Agreement and deposit, Brookewood School will create and send the student’s I-20 via email.

I-20 forms are issued only to those students who have been offered admission to Brookewood School, signed the Tuion Enrollment Agreement, and paid the $3,000 tuition deposit. All international students will pay full tuition and fulfill all other financial obligations.

Brookewood School will pair international students with current host Brookewood families upon request.

Before a student arrives at Brookewood School, she must have completed all of the required immunizations. Please see the following links.

Students interested in Brookewood coordinating their hosting should let the international coordinator know right away. The fee for hosting is not included in the tuition cost of study.
